Is BlueZip really free? Does it show ads?
Yes. BlueZip is free to use, with no ads or bundled installers. Setup does not prompt you to install unrelated software.
How is it different from Bandizip or ALZip?
Compression and extraction are powered by the 7-Zip engine, while ads and bundled installers are left out. BlueZip also adds practical features such as Korean filename recovery and continuing after file errors.
Can BlueZip extract RAR files?
Yes. BlueZip can extract RAR archives, but it cannot create new archives in the RAR format.
Which formats are supported?
BlueZip supports most common archive formats, including ZIP, 7z, RAR, TAR, GZ, XZ, ZSTD, BZ2, CAB, ISO, WIM, LZH and ARJ.
Does it support password-protected archives?
Yes. BlueZip supports password entry and remembering the password for the current session.
Does the BlueZip app collect usage history?
Compression and extraction happen locally. BlueZip does not collect archive contents or app-usage history. When checking for a new release, it sends only the request needed to compare the app version.
Why is the right-click menu under “Show more options”?
Windows 11 places some classic context-menu commands under “Show more options” (Shift+F10). You can also use Shift+right-click to open it directly.
