Search instantly by title, artist or album, and click an artist or album name in the list to show only those tracks.
Windows media controls
SMTC integration shows playback controls and track details on the lock screen and taskbar.
Dark/light × accent color
Pick dark or light and one of ten accent colors separately. The two are independent, so combinations like “light + mint” are yours to make.
Automatic state saving
Your playlist, volume, theme and favorites are kept between sessions, so everything is where you left it.
Mini player bar
A small always-on-top bar with the track title and previous, play, next and repeat buttons. It remembers where you drag it and stays put when you minimize the main window. You can even theme it separately — light app, dark bar.
Taskbar controls
The taskbar button shows a playback badge and progress, and hovering it reveals previous, play, next and repeat buttons. The preview can show album art instead of the window.

Sleep timer and shortcut help
Stop playback automatically after 15–60 minutes, resume the last track on startup, and open the shortcut list with F1.

Remembers the last 100 tracks you started, newest first. The list survives restarts.
Album art in the list
Every row carries an album art thumbnail. Only the rows on screen are read, so large libraries stay fast.

Group the list by artist or by album from the sidebar, and click a group header to show just that set.
Uses Windows Media Foundation for decoding. * Playback of FLAC and some other formats depends on the codecs installed in Windows.

Is BLUE MUSIC really free? Does it show ads?add
Yes. It is completely free, with no ads, tracking or bundled software. The installer does not add any unrelated programs.
Does it support streaming services such as Spotify?add
No. BLUE MUSIC is a local player for music files stored on your PC. It does not include accounts, streaming or cloud sync, which helps keep it fast and lightweight.
Which audio files can it play?add
MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, WMA and WebM are supported by default. Other formats such as FLAC play when the corresponding Windows codec is installed.
Do the playback buttons on my keyboard work?add
Yes. BLUE MUSIC supports keyboard media keys for play/pause, next and previous, along with Windows taskbar and lock-screen media controls through SMTC. When the app window has focus, the spacebar also plays or pauses.
Can I keep the track title and playback buttons visible after minimizing the window?add
Yes. Turn on the mini player bar and a small always-on-top bar appears with the track title and previous, play, next and repeat buttons. Drag it wherever you like — just above the taskbar, for example — and it remembers that spot; minimizing the main window leaves the bar in place. You can toggle it under “Options” in the sleep-timer menu.
How do I change the theme color?add
Click the palette icon in the top right and you get the dark/light switch and ten accent colors in one place. The two are independent, so you can build any combination — “light + mint”, for example — and your choice applies instantly and is saved. The same panel also sets the mini player bar on its own, so you can keep the app light while the bar stays dark.
How do I find a track I just listened to?add
Click Recently played in the sidebar to see the last 100 tracks you started, newest first. The list survives restarts, so you can pick up right where you left off yesterday.
Do I need to install .NET separately?add
No. The installer includes the .NET runtime required to run the app, so there is nothing else to install. This is why the installer is about 74 MB.
Is it safe, and does it collect personal information?add
BLUE MUSIC runs locally and does not collect or send personal information. You can remove it cleanly from “Uninstall a program” in Control Panel.
