Is BlueCapture really free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no ads, payments, subscriptions or account registration. Every feature is available immediately after installation without limits.
Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?
No. Capturing, stitching and saving all happen in the browser. Screenshots are saved directly to your Downloads folder and are not sent to an external server.
How is long-element capture different from full-page capture?
Full-page capture records the entire page. Long-element capture lets you click one specific table, card or post that continues beyond the screen and save that element in full. Use it when you need one overflowing component rather than the whole page.
Can I save a long page as a PDF?
Yes. BlueCapture splits a scrolling capture across multiple A4 PDF pages, ready for reports or printing.
Do I have to open the editor for every capture?
No. The main capture button saves the image immediately. Use Capture and annotate only when you need notes, then add pen, highlighter, arrow or text marks in a new tab before saving. You can also assign a separate custom shortcut to this workflow.
Can it capture pages that block right-click or copying?
Yes. Press Alt + 5 to restore right-click, dragging, pasting and scrolling, then use any capture mode you need.
Which browsers are supported?
BlueCapture uses Manifest V3 and works in current Chromium-based browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave and Arc.
